Rudi Völler Rates Victor Boniface Highly at Leverkusen

German football icon Rudi Völler expressed admiration for the talent and impact of Nigerian forward Victor Boniface within Bayer Leverkusen’s ranks.

Völler, a legendary figure in German football, highlighted Boniface as one of the standout players in the club.

The Nigerian joined Bayer Leverkusen from Union Saint-Gilloise last summer and has become crowd favorite.

He played significant role in Leverkusen’s Bundelisga triumph, contributing eleven goals and eight assists.

“Simon Rolfes, Fernando Carro and Xabi Alonso have put together a great squad and created a tactic that makes them seem invincible,” he said, according to Spox.com.

“Granit Xhaka on the six, defending, Jeremie Frimpong and Alejandro on the wings Grimaldo, they have Victor Boniface and Patrik Schick at the front.” Vollers says as he analyse why Leverkusen are difficult to beat.

The Nigerian has five goals for Leverkusen in Europe and 17 across all competitions in his first season with the newly crowned German Bundesliga champions.

Boniface also established a strong partnership with German prodigy Florian Wirtz, with the duo proving to be a formidable force on the pitch for Leverkusen.

“Everything works, including in the other positions. And then Florian is a player who is already one of the top players in world football.

“He is technically outstanding and runs a lot dangerous. The boy has everything.” Voller.

The duo are expected to be in action when Leverkusen take on AS Roma in Europa League first leg semi-final this evening.
