Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo has showered praises on Nigerian born Portuguese former sprinter and friend Francis Obikwelu, after pair worked together on the track.
Ronaldo, 34, who is on holiday in his native country, Portugal, took his time to train on speed with fellow countryman Francis Obikwelu ahead of next season.
The former World Footballer of the year who won Italian league title with Juventus and UEFA Nations League with the Selecao this year, praised the experience of Francis Obikwelu on the track.
“It was a great experience to train with my friend Francis Obikwelu on track.” Ronaldo posted on Instagram.
Obikwelu, 40, became a Portugese citizen in 2001 and won the 2004 Olympic silver medalist in the 100 metres, where he finished behind American Justin Gatlin.
