Akwa United captain Utobong Effiong has said that the presence of Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr at the Lafiya City township stadium will not mount any pressure on his side’s performance.
Speaking in a chat with brila.net, Utobong said the German’s presence will only give them a boost in their bid to earn a maximum of three points against Nasarawa United in the next fixture.
“We know the Super Eagles gaffer is coming to watch our game and that’s not the main thing we are going there for, but we will not be pressured by his presence on that day rather it will boost our morale and spur us for a maximum three points,” he stated.
Rohr is back in the country to intensify efforts and plans for the next Afcon qualifiers game at home in Nigeria against Lesotho,
