Rohr to start Maduka Okoye against Tunisia

According to reports, Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr could field the same starting line up that featured against Algeria for the clash against Tunisia.

The Super Eagles will take on the Tunisians in Austria later tonight for their second international friendly game in four days.

According to Oma Akatugba who watched the team trained on Monday night, Rohr may start the same squad that started against Algeria, but new faces will come in for William Troost-Ekong and Samuel Kalu who have been ruled out.

Oma Akatugba also revealed that Sparta Rotterdam of Netherlands goalkeeper Maduka Okoye could retain his place in goal as well.

Should Okoye start the game, it will be his third cap and second start for Nigeria since making his debut in 2019.

The three-time African champions last met the Tunisians in the 2019 African cup on nation where they secured a narrow win.

Meanwhile, the results of the second Covid-19 test taken by the players ahead of the Tunisians is expected to be out this evening.
