Former Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has expressed his preference for Stanley Nwabili over Francis Uzoho, describing the former as a better goalkeeper.

Rohr made the remarks amid the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire, where Nwabili has been the starting goalkeeper for Nigeria.

The 28 year-old shot stopper, who plays for Chippa United, has featured in all three of Nigeria’s group stage matches, conceding only one goal and recording two clean sheets.

Uzoho, the former number one goalkeeper, has yet to play for Nigeria in the tournament.

“I have to say that Nwabili Bobo is better than Francis Uzoho,” Rohr said. “He is calm and has very good control of his area.”
