Former Super Eagles defender and former Chippa United player, James Okwuosa is of the strong belief that coach Gernot The is the right man to improve the Eagles fortunes, following his achievement of leading the Eagles to bronze at the last AFCON, and also looking to qualify the team for the 2021 edition in Cameroon.

The Eagles are getting set to battle Ukraine in a test game next month, and speaking to www.brila.net, Okwuosa hailed the gaffer, stating that he knows how to use the players and has been helping the players to challenge themselves to keep getting better.

“Our coach now is somebody who sees the abilities of players and he knows how to use them. He knows what game to use each player.

He has seen things and knows what football is and that has been the reason why he is able to adequately make use of the players where he needs them”.

“It has really been helping us because he has been putting a challenge on each player, trying to help them get better and improve”.
