Rodgers assures Iheanacho, Ndidi and others of his commitment to Leicester

Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers says he is focusing on working with Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho and other players amidst reports linking him with the Manchester United job.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has struggled to deliver desired results this season despite a huge transfer outlay this summer.

He is believed to be close to the end of his reign at Old Trafford, and Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has refused to rule out his interest in taking over at the club should he be offered the chance.

Rodgers was asked about the possibility on Friday ahead of the weekend’s Premier League games, and while he did not refute his interest, he instead claimed it was not in his thoughts.

“I don’t even think about it,” Rodgers said “I’m sure the supporters are probably tired of it. At Leicester, there is always a link.

“My focus is always here with Leicester and developing the football club and challenging for honours.

“The directors, staff and players all have the same vision.” He said.

Leicester are ninth in the Premier League, and host Arsenal in Saturday’s early kickoff.
