NPFL Champions, Rivers United are through to the Super 6 following a slim victory over Sunshine Stars on Monday.

Rivers United came into the game on the back of a goalless draw against Wikki Tourists in another rescheduled game.

The holders struggled to produce their best attacking football, but managed to get the job done, making amends for the goalless outcome against Wikki Tourists .

Morice Chukwu’s first half strike was all they needed to pick three points and sealed qualification to the Super 6 with a game to spare.

Stanley Eguma’s men become the second team from Group B to qualify for the playoff, while Sunshine Stars, and Doma United will battle for the last ticket.
