Experienced league shot-stopper Theophilus Afelokhai has stated that Rivers united presented an opportunity so big to let go and had to grab after completing his switch to the Port Harcourt based side from Enyimba.
Afelokhai speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said he believes his move to Rivers United will be a better step up for him in his career.
The one time Kano Pillars safe hands said moving from Enyimba to Rivers also presented an opportunity to once again show his prowess as a top goalkeeper in the league and expressed delight at completing the deal.
“My coming to Rivers, sometimes an opportunity comes but once I have to grab the opportunity and I believe my move will be a better step up for me again in my career and also to prove to Nigerians that what they know me is a good goalkeeper I can go to anywhere. When I was in Pillars I did a lot I won Four trophies for them, same thing at Enyimba and I think coming here I will do the same thing. It’s something of joy for me.”
