Nigeria’s representative in the CAF Confederation Cup Rivers United are leaving no stone upturned ahead of the second round match against Bloemfontein Celtic F.C.
Rivers United’s 36 man contingent arrived South Africa on Sunday ahead of the first-leg tie of their Confederation Cup qualifiers which is scheduled for Wednesday.
The team had its first training session at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium, venue of the match on Monday night.
Apart from working on strategies and formations, Coach Stanley Eguma placed the squad on shooting drills.
The NPFL side are expected to have their last training sessions on Tuesday evening, before filing out against their hosts on Wednesday.
Rivers United will be hoping to pick a good result ahead of the return-leg in Port Harcourt.
