Rivers United Bow out of CAF Confederation Cup

Nigerian Champions, Rivers United bid the CAF Confederation Cup goodbye after 2-0 aggregate defeat to Young Africans of Tanzania.

Rivers United held their hosts to a 0-0 draw in the Quarter final, second-leg match at the Benjamin Nkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam on Sunday night.

The draw however wasn’t enough as they lost the first leg 2-0 in Uyo last week.

Following their elimination, Stanley Eguma’s side will now turn their attention to the Federation Cup and a hopeful title defence of the NPFL title.

Young Africans will face Gallants FC of South Africa in the semi-final.
