Rivers United have collected their first three points in the CAF Confederation Cup following Wednesday’s 1-0 win against FUS Rabat at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.
Emeka Atuloma’s goal in the 72nd minute, though clearly offside, was allowed to count by the Rwandan referee, Jean Claude Ishimwe.
The goal came off Zoumana Doumbia’s free kick, perhaps the only moment worth cheering in the drab match up.

Eguma’s men thus picked points and moved from the bottom of group A to third position.
United next face Kampala City on June 3rd in an away first leg tie at the Phillip Omondi Stadium.
