Victor Anthony Koko has attributed Rivers Hoopers’ strong performance at the ongoing Basketball Africa League (BAL) Sahara Conference in Senegal to improved team cohesion compared to their debut in 2021.
Speaking after their hard-fought 82-86 victory over APR in a chat with Brila Media, Koko emphasized that the team’s unity and shared focus have been key factors in their success at the tournament.
“We are really prepared for this time, not like the first one that we went to,” the King Men’s Captain said.
“The first one, we were having a lot of ups and downs in the team, issues and the like. That was what led to what happened.
“But this time, everybody is on the same page. That’s why you can see the outcome of it,” he told Brila Media.
