Rinsola’s contract extension delights Liverpool boss Vicky Jepson

Liverpool boss Vicky Jepson is delighted to see Rinsola Babajide extend her stay at the Club for two further years.

Vicky Jepson who was appointed as the coach of the team on 26 October 2018 was instrumental in the decision of the club to sign the striker from Watford when she was 19.

 

The 21-year-old Rinsola Babajide has now grown to become an integral part of the squad and was named as the club’s player of the month back in January.

 

However, following the team’s relegation from the FA Women’s Super League, Rinsola Babajide was tipped to move away from Club after interest from other top-flight teams.

 

The attacker squashed all the talks and committed her future to the club by signing a new deal that will keep her at the until 2022.

 

“I am pleased that Rins wants to stay, as I know she will demonstrate her qualities and contribute in taking our team to success in the season to come.” Vicky Jepson told the club social media handle.

 

Rinsola Babajide finished as Liverpool’s top scorer this season with eight goals , but they were relegated to the lower division following the decision of the English FA to end the league prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

 

The youngster is still eligible to play for the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
