Cyriel Dessers has been voted Feyenoord’s best player of the month for April.

Dessers, 27, won the award following an impressive month where he scored four goals in all competitions for Arne Slot’s men.

He also helped the Dutch Eredivisie side reach the final of the Europa Conference League by scoring twice against Olympique Marseille in the semi-final last month.

This is the second player of the month award the Nigeria international has won this season, He first picked up the award last November.

Despite not being a starter, Dessers has scored 20 goals for Feyenoord and the effort was rewarded with a recall to the National team for the friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.

Dessers made his Super Eagles debut in a friendly match against Tunisia in October 2020.
