Reports: Osimhen Will Leave Napoli on Cut price

Napoli will reduce their asking price for Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, as uncertainty surrounds his future at the club.

The 25-year-old forward is seeking a move away from Serie A, but Napoli’s initial €150 million release clause has deterred potential buyers.

According to Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, the Partenopei are now considering lowering the price to €100 million.

This adjustment aims to generate the necessary transfer funds for new head coach Antonio Conte, who is keen to acquire Belgian international Romelu Lukaku this summer.

Longo also notes that Chelsea, previously seen as front-runners for Osimhen’s signature, have not initiated any negotiations with the 2023 Serie A champions.

Currently, the only viable options appear to be PSG or an unnamed Saudi Pro League team, with the latter offering a reported salary of €40 million per season.

However, Osimhen is not enthusiastic about either opportunities, expressing his preference for a move to the English Premier League.

Osimhen is currently nursing an ankle injury and missed Nigeria’s last FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
