Report: Liverpool preparing Summer bids for Ndidi, Lemina

Liverpool are reportedly preparing summer bids for the pair of Southampton winger, Mario Lemina and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi.

And that is an aftermath of the Reds making serious plans to fortify their squad in the summer after recording profit.

The Merseyside outfit’s boss, Jurgen Klopp will reportedly have a massive transfer purse to play with during the summer window.

That particularly is the case after the Premier League heavyweights recorded a £39m gain in their latest accounts this year.

The Reds have, meanwhile, turned a £21m deficit in the year 2016 into a substantial profit just twelve months after.

And that is more as a result of the first year of the latest broadcasting deal in the Premier League.

It is also partly due to the redevelopment of the new Main Stand at the club’s home ground of Anfield.

Matchday revenue for outings at home also increased massively from only £12m to an amount within the range of £74m.

That is because of hospitality sales which had a great increase in the first season of the new stand being open.

The figures, however, failed to take into account the £80m Liverpool spent on Mohamed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andrew Robertson.

Nor the club-record signing of central defender, Virgil van Dijk for a fee worth £75m in the winter transfer window.

The sale of play-maker, Philippe Coutinho for a nine-figure amount in January, however, offset those deals for the former four.

And The Guardian has now issued a report they will support Klopp with big money going into the 2018/19 term.
