Remo Stars Goalkeeper, Kayode Bankole is hoping to get a call up to the Super Eagles ahead of the next Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Bankole got his first call up to the senior national team back in October 2020.
The goaltender surprising captained the Super Eagles in the friendly against Costa Rica.
Nigeria’s next International game is billed for June 11, 2023.
The Super Eagles will travel away for the return leg of the AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone.
Bankole says he hopes to get a look in from coach Jose Peseiro, “It’s the dream for every player to be involved with National team, and I’m not different.”
“I’ve been invited before and I enjoyed every bit of it.”
“If the coach invite me, I’ll be more than happy to go, but I have to keep doing my job with Remo Stars,” He told www.brila.net.
In the regular season of the NPFL, Bankole has more clean sheet (9), in seventeen appearances for the Sky Blue, helping Daniel Ogunbodede’s side reach qualify for the Super 6 playoff.
