Super Eagles striker Peter Olayinka has been unveiled by the Serbian club, Red Star Belgrade.

Olayinka signed for the club following his exit from Slavia Prague at the end of last season.

The 27-year-old joined as a free agent, signing a three-year deal with the option for another year.

The Nigerian international enjoyed a successful stint with Slavia Prague, winning every domestic competition before his exit.

Olayinka expressed delight after signing his contract.

“I already had the opportunity to visit the stadium, and I am delighted with Maracana.

“It’s great to be in Zvezda; I feel great; everyone welcomed me, and I can’t wait to play,” Olayinka told the club’s official website.

According to him:

“I watched several Zvezda matches during the spring, and I saw that we have a lot of quality players and a great team. Coming to Zvezda is a big step for my career.

“I am aware that it is a step forward, and change, although it is not easy; goes with the job of a football player. This is a new challenge that I have set before myself.”

The Attacker made 95 appearances, scored 27 goals and created 15 assists for the Red and White.

He won the Czech First League and Czech Cup with Prague in the 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 seasons.
