Super Falcons star, Rasheedat Ajibade started her La Liga Femení season on a high, providing an assist in Atletico Madrid’s 2-0 win over Granada in their opening match.

Ajibade had an outstanding performance last season, scoring ten goals and contributing six assists.

Her return to the 2024/25 season contributed to Atletico’s success at the Centro Deportivo Wanda Alcalá de Henares on Wednesday.

Ajibade set up the first goal, delivering a precise pass to Giovana Queiroz Costa, who scored after 13 minutes.

Throughout the match, the Nigerian forward remained active, completing two successful dribbles, 36 touches, and two key passes.

Sheila Guijarro added a second goal in stoppage time to secure the win for Atletico Madrid.
