Super Falcons striker Rasheedat Ajibade was the woman of the match as she scored twice and assisted another in Avaldsnes 4 – 0 win over Roa in a league game on Saturday.
The former Robo Queens of Lagos forward who has started eight of the nine previous games for Avaldsnes in the Norwegian Toppserien was at her best as she single-handedly handed all the three points to her team.
The Nigeria international opened the scoring five minutes into the game with a brilliant finish, after connecting with a perfect pass from Hanna Dahl.
Avaldsnes got their second when Katrina Gorry scored from a rebound after goalkeeper Josefine Ervik made a mess of Olaug Tvedten’s shot in the 42nd minute.
Ajibade made it three just before half time after she was set up by Anna Langas Josendal.
Ajibade later turned provider as she combined well with Josendal, who fired home the fourth six minutes from time to complete the route.
Ajibade, who featured for the duration of the match, has now scored five goals in nine appearances for Avaldsnes this season.
Avaldsnes are second on the log with 20 points from 10 games, but they could slip to third depends on the results of Sunday’s game involving their rivals.
