Midfielder Raphael Onyedika will sit out Club Brugge’s next League game due to suspension.

Onyedika was booked during Sunday’s Championship playoffs match between Club Brugge and Royal Antwerp, bringing his number of yellow cards to five.

The caution was a result of a dangerous challenge by the Nigerian on Antwerp’s Jurgen Ekkelenkamp.

Consequently, the midfielder will miss Club Brugge’s next game against Union Saint-Gilloise at the Stade Joseph due to card accumulation.

Despite the setback, Onyedika scored for Club Brugge in the 44th minute, firing into the bottom right corner for the first goal of the game.

It was his third goal of the playoffs Championship, despite failing to score in the regular season.
