Rangers Title Triumph No Fluke – Ilechukwu

Head Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has declared his team worthy champions after the Flying Antelopes secured the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
Rangers International sealed their title victory with a 2-0 win over Bendel Insurance at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, clinching the championship with one game left in the 2023/2024 NPFL season.
Rangers had a total of 67 points after 37 matches, making it impossible for second place Remo Stars to catch them even if they failed to win the last match against Gombe United.
“I am quite sure that we have done well enough to be crowned the league champions. We deserve it and I’m happy for everyone at the club,” said Ilechukwu.
They will face Gombe United, already relegated, in their final match of the season at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday, June 23.
“As we approach the last match of the season against Gombe United, we shall remain focused and work hard, trusting that God will guide us to our desired goals.”
Winning the title is a significant milestone for Ilechukwu, who previously finished as runner-up twice with MFM FC and Plateau United.
