Glasgow Rangers manager, Philippe Clement has confirmed that defender Leon Balogun sustained an injury during the club’s recent home victory against Kilmarnock on Sunday.
Balogun was substituted by Ben Davies after the break due to the injury.
Clement disclosed in a post-match statement that the Nigerian suffered a muscle injury, expressing hope that it is not a severe one.
“Yes, he was injured, which is why I had to replace him. I hope it is a minor muscle injury,” Clement stated, as reported by Rangers Review.
“We will assess his condition over the next couple of days. Unfortunately, he struggled too much to continue.”
Balogun, 35, has contributed to Rangers’ campaign with 14 appearances in the league so far this season.
