Rangers Int’l goalkeeper, Lucky Abdullahi expressed relief after the Flying Antelopes secured a 1-0 victory over Ikorodu City on Wednesday, a result he believes helps the team recover from their recent CAF Champions League elimination.
The match, held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, saw Chinemerem Ugwueze score the decisive goal.
Abdullahi highlighted the significance of the win in a post-match interview, stating, “The victory over Ikorodu City meant a lot to us because we lost our continental game, and we came to Lagos to fight for the maximum points.”
Confident about Rangers’ prospects this season, Abdullahi added, “I believe we have the capability of lifting the NPFL title once again this season.”
Rangers will face Remo Stars in their next NPFL fixture.
