Randy Waldrum praise Jennifer Echegini after scoring maiden Super Falcons goal

Randy Waldrum is impressed with young forward Jennifer Echegini following her contributions to team’s success in just concluded Turkey training tour.

The forward got her maiden international goal for the Super Falcons in their 3-0 win over New Zealand on Tuesday.

The Florida State University scored second goal shortly after the restart, while Onome Ebi and Desire Oparanozie got the other goals.

“The most exciting thing about that is anytime a player is to play for the country and they get their first goal is the one they always remember and the good thing about that is the buildup to that goal was absolutely brilliant,” Waldrum said after the match.

“The interplay, the cross and the finish is world class. So she will remember that goal for a long time but she’s really come up in the last year since we first brought her to Canada and she just continues to get better and better, I was really happy for her because she finally found the back of the net.” He concluded.

The Super Falcons camp reopen in July ahead of the Women’s World Cup this summer.
