The days of dominance in the South African Premier League by Orlando Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs are long gone, with Bidvest Wits surprisingly leading the pack in South Africa.
It may come as a surprise to many, but certainly not for Nigerian defender, James Okwuosa. Okwuosa, a veteran in the PSL who has played for Orlando Pirates and has captained Chippa United has described the league as very unpredictable, comparing it to the EPL in England.
In a chat with www.brila.net, Okwuosa also added that it would be difficult for Wits as the chasing pack will surely give them a run for their money.
“I have said it before and I will say it again, the PSL is very unpredictable”. Before you can win the league, it will be like 2 or 3 matches to the end of
the season”
“The league is getting more competitive every day and when you look at Wits at the top of the table, you ask yourself how long they can be able to remain there because other clubs will surely give them a run for their money”.
“I believe the league is getting tougher with each year and all the teams are strong and competitive, but let’s see how it goes at the end of the season”, he concluded.
