Private Schools without sporting facilities shouldn’t be approved for learning, says Ademola Are

The director grass root sports for the ministry of youth and sports development Dr. Ademola Aare has stated that private Schools without structures for sports shouldn’t be giving license to operate.

Dr. Aare reacted to the questions put forward to him by brila.net on how the ministry of sports can synergize with the Education ministry and curb the challenges of catching them young of sports in Nigeria.
“We are working with the ministry of education at the Federal and state level, however, when it comes to the establishment of private schools to be approved without sports pitches, the sports ministry can only advise and we can do advocacy on this area but when such a thing are not happening we are not the approving authority for such private schools,”
Aare, further stated that Education without sports is not good enough for this kids because both of them go hand in hand so the establishment of private schools should be a thing of encouragement but with the available facilities and equipment for sports development, cognitive and mental development of these children. ” he said.
