PPG: Enyimba does not deserve to be second – Stanley Dimgba

Enyimba’s forward Stanley Dimgba has stated that his club does not merit the position given to them by the league management company(LMC) through the final PPG table.

The table released by the league organizers shows Plateau United, Enyimba, and Rivers United as the first three teams with the LMC using the Points Per Game (PPG) and Weighted Points Per Game (WPPG) methodology for deciding the final placements for all 20 teams.

In a reaction, Striker Dimgba in an exclusive chat with brila.net feels Enyimba does not merit where they find themselves on the log going by the original table but the decisions of the LMC will be respected even though it remains unclear to him.
“LMC decision is final and no one has the right to questions it because they manage the League and their reasons are best known to them.
“If we go by the table thing for me, I think Enyimba doesn’t merit that position because you know how our country is, and how decisions are been taken here they said it is a’ PPG something’ I don’t know how to put it and how they managed to do those things but you know when the league managers make a decision I don’t think anyone has the right to question it,’

With the country’s continental representatives sorted, the clubs and the LMC can now focus on preparations and modalities for next season.

No date has been announced for the kickoff of the 2020/21 season but the NFF put September/October as a tentative start date for all domestic leagues subject to government approval.
