Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre was named the woman-of-the-match in the game between Leicester City and Liverpool on Saturday.

Plumptre scored a fantastic header as Leicester Leicester City recorded an emphatic 4-0 win over Liverpool.

The Nigerian was solid at the back all through and deservely got her goal three minutes into the second half.

Plumptre’s return to top form is a big boost to the Super Falcons ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand later this year.

The CB was part of the Nigeria’s squad to last tour of Turkey, but didn’t played two test games against Haiti and New Zealand due to a knock.
