Nigeria defender Ashleigh Plumptre was on target as Al Ittihad secured a 3-0 victory over Al Amal in the Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League on Friday, marking their first win in five matches.
Leticia Nunes opened the scoring in the 31st minute, giving the hosts a deserved lead.
Lana Abdulrazak extended the advantage in the 56th minute, before Plumptre sealed the win with a well-taken goal five minutes from time.
The victory ended a four-game losing streak for Al Ittihad, who had suffered defeats against Al Qadisiya (4-1), Al Ahli (4-2), Al Ula (2-0), and Al Hilal (3-1) in their previous league outings.
With the win, Al Ittihad now sit in seventh place on the league table with 18 points from 14 matches.
Their next fixture will be a tough test against league leaders Al Nassr on March 8, 2025.
