Plateau United, Lobi, Dakkada and Akwa will finish in top 4

Former Lobi Stars player, Anthony Okpotu has revealed that he’s backing his former NPFL club, Lobi Stars to secure a continental ticket.

The 17/18 NPFL top goalscorer with 19 goals told www.brila.net “I’m not surprised by Plateau United’s performance this season they have very good players and coach, they started the league very well, I still believe they might win the league, though with the NPFL you never know until the end of the season.

But my top 4 prediction is Plateau United, Lobi stars, Dakkada FC (if they can maintain their home winning runs) and Akwa United accordingly.”

Comparing his time in the NPFL with US Monastir, Okpotu also noted that though the pattern of play is not different, the Nigerian league has a lot to improve on…

“Its good to see teams win away from home and officiating has improved I hope it can be consistent. They also have to fix their travelling issues to it make it easier for the players to put up a good game especially for the away teams, over here we travel earlier and lodge for trips over 6 hours.”

With 18 games to go Plateau United reclaimed top of the table beating Dakkada FC 2-0, with Lobi, Rivers United and Akwa United 2-4th place respectively.
