Former NFF boss, Amaju Melvin Pinnick formally handed over the affairs of the NFF to the newly elected President of the Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
The outgoing President who is also a FIFA council Member and Member of the CAF Executive Committee says he is backing the new President for more time in office.
In a chat with www.brila.net, Amaju calls for more support for his successor with the hopes that by the time he will be 70 years, he would have done his three tenures and developed the game of football in Nigeria higher than where it is now.
“Changing the leadership and president of the football federation is not good for the global maturity and political system of football in the country.
“I thank you for your loyalty and support in the past eight years, and the encouragement and support of the Board that I worked with. It was an awesome experience all through and I give God the glory. Football is the winner. I ask for the forgiveness of all those that I might have offended one way or the other, and I crave your support for the new team.
