Nigeria’s FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification was confirmed, Thursday, following the victory against Cameroon in the quarter final of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and Super Falcons CB, Ashleigh Plumptre expressed her excitement with the prospect of featuring at the global tournament.
Plumptre returned to action for Nigeria against Cameroon after missing back to back games through injury.
The Defender was out of both group matches against Botswana and Burundi.
On Thursday, with Plumptre back, the Nigerian defence line was tested but it held on solid to pip the Cameroonians by a lone goal at the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca.
In her reaction to the game, the Versatile Defender tweeted:
