Coach of NPFL runners up and Nigeria’s CAF champions league campaigner Kano Pillars Ibrahim Musa has stated that the Kano based side have a resolve to do well  in Africa’s elite club competition this year after a number of unimpressive outings  in the competition after the team got drawn against Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko in the first round of the competition which starts  in two weeks time.
Musa speaking in a chat with www.brila.netsaid Pillars want to draw inspiration from their very first outing in the competition where they went as far as playing in the CAF champions league semi final before been knocked out. He added that this for them is very possible to replicate and this they will try to achieve and surpass.
“Our first time in the CAF champions league remember we got to the semi finals, we even beat Al Ahly so this the we want to achieve that again and even try to see Kano Pillars play in the final. We’re in good shape and we will consolidate on our current form to prosecute matches in the CAF champions league.”
Kano Pillars will play the Federation cup final this coming Sunday against Niger Tornadoes and 10days later starts their continental journey.
