Super Eagles boss Jose Pesieiro has defended his most recent invitation of players to the national team.
The coach says certainly there will be time to bring in some other players into the national team after the absence of top performing duo of Gent of Belgium’s Gift Orban and Victor Boniface of Royal Union St Gillois as well as other equally top performing players.
Pesieiro fielding question on his invitation said in a chat gathered by www.brila.net that he decided to stick with a large chunk of players he knows and have worked with rather than bring in new players who will have to take time to settle into the team at an important stage of the AFCON 2023 qualifers where the Eagles will next face Sierra Leone.
