Super Eagles gaffer, Jose Peseiro is not totally satisfied with the performance of his players in their last Group A match against Guinea Bissau.
The Super Eagles laboured to a 1-0 win over their opponents at the Stade Félix Houphouet-Boigny, Abidjan, on Monday.
A first half own-goal from Opa Sanganté made all the difference, and Peseiro though admitting the tough nature of the game believes his players made it even harder.
“It was a tough match, the other team tried to score and gave hard time, but we deserve to win,” the Super Eagles coach said.
“We created chances and should have won by at least two goals, but we qualified. So we are fine.”
Nigeria finished second in Group A behind Equatorial Guinea, who defeated Ivory Coast 4-0 in the group’s other game.
“We can meet any team. I don’t care” Peseiro added when quizzed about his team potentially facing a tough second round opponent.
Monday’s game was Nigeria’s 100th match, in the Africa Cup of Nations.
