Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro will consider a new goalkeeper when the team commences preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Peseiro dropped the hint during a meeting with the Minister of Sports, John Enoh and top NFF officials this Wednesday.

The Super Eagles coach said he’s contemplating bringing in a new goalkeeper due to Francis Uzoho’s disappointing performance.

Initially, the Coach stood firm on Uzoho as the first choice, but reversed his decision under media and fan pressure.

The 25-year-old exuded uncertainty and lacked confidence during his stint as the Super Eagles’ first choice goalkeeper, criticized for his form, is facing challenges in securing game time at Omonia Nicosia.
