Paul Onuachu Makes Decision on Southampton Future

Nigerian forward, Paul Onuachu has voiced his intention to continue playing for the Turkish Super Lig side,Trabzonspor.

On loan from Southampton since last summer, Onuachu has been a key player for the club, with his parent club now likely to recall him.

 

 

 

The loan move has been fruitful as the 29-year-old has impressed with nine goals and three assists during his time at Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor is keen on retaining him beyond his loan spell, recognizing his value to the team.

However, financial constraints are hindering their ability to secure a permanent deal, opening a possible return to St Mary.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Onuachu has made it clear that his priority is to continue playing in Turkey.

“I am very happy in Trabzon. My family and I want to stay here,” he was quoted by Saints Socialite.

Onuachu signed for Southampton in a deal worth €18m from Belgian side Genk.

The forward still has three years left on his contract with the Championship side.
