Paul Onuachu’s impressive form for Trabzonspor continued as he received the Super Lig Goal of the Month award for his stunning strike against Samsunspor.
Onuachu was presented with the award before Trabzonspor’s 2-0 win over Eyupspor on Saturday. The goal was so spectacular that it has also been widely tipped as a contender for the league’s Goal of the Season.
Trabzonspor marked the occasion by presenting Onuachu with a commemorative plaque featuring an image of the goal.
He has been one of the standout performers in the league this season, contributing seven goals and one assist in ten appearances.
His consistency in front of goal has placed him at the top of the Golden Boot race this season.
Although Onuachu’s four-match scoring streak came to an end against Eyupspor, he still made a valuable contribution to the team’s performance.

The 30 year-old striker registered two shots on target, created two chances, and completed 19 passes.
His link-up play and intelligent movement helped open spaces for his teammates, underlining his importance beyond just goalscoring.

Onuachu will now turn his attention to Trabzonspor’s upcoming fixture against Galatasaray, where he is expected to lead the attack once again.
The match will see him face fellow Nigerian international Victor Osimhen, who has been in fine form with six goals and one assist in his last five appearances for club and country.
