Pascal Rejects Underdog tag for Flying Eagles against Argentina

Former Nigerian International, Patrick Pascal says the Flying Eagles must focus on doing a good a job against Argentina, and ignore all distractions.

The Flying Eagles will face the hosts in the round of 16, later Tonight, with a quarter-final spot up for grab.

Argentina has a rich history in the competition, and bookmakers have tipped them to beat the Nigerians and go through.

Pascal however rejected the Flying Eagles’ underdog tag, insisting the team deserve more respect for reaching this stage.

“A lot of teams have gone home, the Flying Eagles are even in the Group of death, where many didn’t expect them to qualify.

“So qualifying as a best losers isn’t a problem, it doesn’t mean the team is weak.

“For us, we have a second chance to redeem our image after losing that game to Brazil,” He told Brila.net.

The former international, then charged the team to play their best football and focus on getting the result.

“We have to play our football and think about how to move forward in the competition.”
