D’Tigress head coach, Rena Wakama has expressed strong confidence in her team’s potential to make a significant impact at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The Nigerian women’s basketball team is currently in Germany, preparing for the Summer Games.
According to Wakama, the players are showing promising progress in their training sessions.
“Things have been going well in the camp in the last few days, as we have had great practice sessions and the girls are in great spirits,” Wakama told the NBBF media.
“The girls are responding well to training and getting better every day. And that’s what matters.”
Wakama expressed her excitement about the upcoming games in Paris, stating, “I’m confident that the girls will be able to display their talents when we get to Paris. I’m excited and looking forward to the games.”
In their buildup to the Olympics, D’Tigress will face Germany, Serbia, and France in a series of friendly matches.
