Paris 2024: Super Falcons Secure New Performance Analyst

As part of their preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Super Falcons have secured the services of a performance and match-reading analyst.

Poncho Serna will now serve as the performance analyst for the Super Falcons during the 2024 Olympic Games.

In a post on his X handle (formerly Twitter), Poncho announced his new role with the team.

“I am very happy and excited to share this: during the Olympic Games I will be working with the Nigerian women’s team (@NGSuper_Falcons), in the area of performance analysis,” Serna posted. “When one door closes, a better one opens. To continue learning and enjoying.”

 

 

 

 

 

Nigeria is making a return to the Olympic Games Women’s Football after a 16-year absence.

They will take on reigning Olympic champions Canada in a training match in Sevilla on Wednesday, July 17th.

Opening their Olympic Tournament the team will face Brazil on July 25th. Three days later, Nigeria plays Spain in their second group game before ending their group campaign against former World Cup champions, Japan.

The team is currently in camp in the city of Jerez de la Frontera, Sevilla.
