Nigerian football star, Asisat Oshoala is confident that the Super Falcons can secure a podium finish at the 2024 Olympic Games.

The nine-time African champions are set to make their return to the Games after a 16-year absence.

Drawn into a challenging group with Spain, Japan, and Brazil, the team faces a formidable task.

Despite the tough competition, Oshoala remains optimistic about their chances in Paris.

“I have a lot of confidence in this team.

“We have many young players, and we can make things difficult for our opponents,” she stated.

“We don’t just think about getting out of the group; I think we can actually walk away with a medal.”

The Super Falcons will kick off their campaign against Brazil at the Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux on Thursday.
