Nigeria’s Rosemary Chukwuma has secured her place in the semifinals of the women’s 100m at the ongoing Olympics in Paris.

Chukwuma finished in 3rd place with a time of 11.26 seconds, and is the only Nigerian to reach the next round of the event.

Ewa Swoboda of Poland won the race with a season-best of 10.99 seconds.

Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith came in 2nd with a time of 11.01 seconds.

Chukwuma will need to improve her performance as she competes in the 100m semifinals tomorrow and hopes to make it to the final.
