Paris 2024: Nigerian Athletes Enjoy Top-Class Preparations – Okon

Nigerian sprint coach, Gabriel Okon has confirmed that the country’s athletes are benefiting from an excellent training environment in their preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Okon says he’s with the facilities available at their training camp in Germany and praised the sports ministry’s efforts in ensuring great preparation conditions.

“We arrived here last week, a few days ago. I think it’s going pretty well. The facilities are top class,” Okon said.

“The facilities are top class. Track, weight room, where we do our cool down and everything. The dining is fantastic, the hotel accommodation.”

Okon also said, “The advisory podium team has been very helpful. We’re learning a lot from them and the others are very, very disciplined. They’re very cooperative and we’re doing very well here.”

Although the team faces initial weather challenges, the coach assures the training conditions have improved. “We thank God the weather was a little bit cold today but we now have sun shining so everything’s going fine.”
