Favour Ofili has clinched a place in the final of the women’s 200m at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Ofili secured one of the automatic spots by finishing second in heat one with a season’s best time of 22.05 seconds.
Julien Alfred claimed victory in the heat, crossing the finish line at 21.98 seconds.
This achievement makes Ofili the first Nigerian athlete in 28 years to qualify for the final in this event.
She will now aim to bring home a medal for her country in the upcoming final.
