Nigeria’s Fatimo Bello has sealed her spot for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in a thrilling encounter at the African Table Tennis Olympic Qualifier, in Kigali, Rwanda.
Bello defeated Morocco’s Lynda Loughrabi 4-2 in the women’s final held on Saturday.
This victory marks her first Olympic qualification, joining compatriots Aruna Quadri, Omotayo Olajide, and Edem Effiong as representatives in the prestigious tournament.
In other results, Algeria’s Medhi Bouloussa clinched the final Olympic ticket by decisively defeating Congo’s Saheed Idowu 4-0 in the men’s final.
