Team USA were too dominant and they kept their hundred percent record against D’Tigress, inflicting a 74-88 loss.

Speaking to Brila.net, Dangosu, a former D’Tigress guard said the team made it difficult to match up against their more accomplished opponent, allowing them too much time with the ball.

“Nigeria’s historic run in the women’s basketball tournament at Paris 2024 has been underlined by defensive steel, but this time around we only played with aggression on the defence but failed to carry the same energy on the offence.

“Also they had a deeper bench and utilized the experience and size of the players on the roaster.”
