Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade believes the familiarity with some players in Brazil’s Olympic squad could be advantageous for Nigeria in their upcoming match.

The Paris 2024 Women’s football event is set to kick off on Thursday, with Nigeria facing Brazil in their opening Group C game.

The former African Champions will also compete against Spain and Japan in subsequent group matches.

“Playing in professional leagues, we encounter many players from different countries, including Brazil,” Ajibade told 54footballx.

“I can provide the team with insights on how specific players operate, especially those I have played with or against in Spain and Brazil.”

Ajibade emphasized the collective experience within the team, noting that several teammates also play alongside these international opponents at the club level.

“We can pool our knowledge to help the team succeed in the Olympics,” she added.
